Accredited Exercise Physiologists have the skills and knowledge to prevent, treat, and manage musculoskeletal conditions and injuries. Learn the steps i take to help you achieve your goals.

Step 1) Initial Assessment

I gather subjective information about you, such as your medical history, injuries, medications, physical activity patterns, lifestyle factors, goals, etc. This can be conducted online for the convenience and comfort of the free consultation or in person.

The next step is to assess your physical capabilities and presentation through objective assessments. This will be conducted face to face and may include blood pressure measurement, anthropometry, cardiovascular and strength tests, special tests, and many more.

Step 2) Tailored Program Design

I synthesise the information and design a comprehensive evidence-based exercise program specific to your health conditions, deficits, capabilities, and goals.

The exercises vary from bodyweight, Thera-bands, pin-loaded machines, free weights, barbells, etc.

The tailored programs are designed to help,

  • Treat chronic health condition(s)

  • Reduce pain

  • Learn the correct biomechanics

  • Improve core strength

  • Restore flexibility and mobility

  • Increase range of motion

  • Correct posture and alignment

  • Development general strength

Step 3) Delivery and Assessment

We work side by side throughout your entire treatment and management journey with ongoing 1 on 1 guidance, education, feedback, and support.

I believe in empowering you with the knowledge and the tools to progressively manage your own condition, these include

  • Education on pain management

  • Postural training

  • Lifestyle modifications

  • Benefits of exercise adherence

  • Behavioural change

At the end of your program, we reassess your objective assessments to evaluate your new capabilities and our comprehensive exercise-based intervention.

Step 4) Beyond

We continue the ongoing treatment and management after the reassessment. We set new goals, reach new heights, and build more resilience. I continue to promote behavioural change and build healthy habits to reach your full potential and best quality of life.
